Harper noticed that it is “not as noisy as here b/c there are not all the cars and it is really pretty when you walk and see all the flowers”.
Calahan said “Joseph’s knife is big! Is it a sword?” and wants to know how long the walk is to Hoax and Margarets house?
Thank you so much for posting! Loved seeing the kids “live”, especially Everett. Noticed how their day seems so similar to their SC days, not yours! I hope the next time I watch it I won’t cry the whole time… Love you guys.
I am with Kelly. I kept crying. I keep thinking aside from the main importance of sharing the Gospel, your family reaps such benefits. The kids get to grow up in such a wonderful and simpler lifestyle and what wonderful times with your husband. I was filled with thankfulness and joy and even a little envy We love and miss you guys
What a powerful and moving video. It provided much a much needed few moments of peace and reflection in a day that I am fighting not to be overcome by the world’s demands. Blessings to you as you head into the bush.
Wow, that was awesome! I’m with Dan, that provided a great break and some real perspective for my day.
Thanks for posting that for us to get a feel for your daily lives… laundry, playing, eating… we do that. Walking through fields with bush knives, talking to tribal people in a different language, and seeing such amazing natural beauty… we don’t do that.
You have a huge team of people here in the states who love you and are praying for you.
Wow. Thank you for giving us a glimpse into your lives in such a beautiful way. I’m overcome with the reality of what you guys are doing and what you’re stepping into with your move to the bush. We’re all praying for you and are thankful for you guys and your faith!
Thanks for the beautiful story of your days. I won’t be dry-eyed for hours! My arms ache because they want to hug each one of you so badly. Be safe my darlings and God bless you real good!
So beautiful. You all are amazing. The stars at the end are so gorgeous. Definitely made me a bit misty-eyed seeing how your days go. I know there is so much we do not see. Prayers abound.
This is amazing. Thank you for taking the time to do this and sharing your life with us so we can be a part of it. Know that we are praying for you and are looking forward to hearing about your time away.
I’ve watched this no less than three times a day and beginning with the first time I did, my eyes get teary with the first 3 notes of the music. I see something different each time, but I always see y’all doing what you have been called to do, and in a very special way. The special parts of the video for me are when the two of you first walk away down the path and, Joseph’s expression when he turns around after lifting Everett towards the sky. It’s a joy to watch but it’s hard to watch.
I agree with everyone! I am moved to tears! The girls and I watched it 3 times in a row. They kept saying they wanted to talk to Lucy and Belle (I tried to explain the difference between skype and video). Emma said she thought Everett wanted out of the bed:).
Thanks so much for giving us a glimpse in to your lives! It was such a blessing. I am so thankful for your family and for being apart of this journey with you. We’ll be praying for your 6 weeks in bush!
I hope you won’t think less of me when I say that my eyes were full of tears through 85% of this. Unlike your PopPop, I don’t think I can watch it again.
Though I know that you are in the midst of God’s beautiful creation and His beloved children, I can’t imagine how lonely it must get for you. I’m amazed and proud of you, Joseph, for leading your family in this.
Though it’s only a glimpse, it seems like your kids are adjusted / adjusting. I hope that helps you to see them smile and engage their new world.
Awesome Video, thanks for sharing….praying for your entire family as you head into the bush…Missed you guys at the annual Holly Wild Christmas Lights….Just wasn’t the same, I saw NO hot dogs hanging out the window or thrown….God bless and keep you safe.
Wow, this was amazing–thank you so much for creating such a neat way for us to see a glimpse into your days there. You have been very much on my mind as you spend Christmas in the tribe, preparing to share the story of the Savior’s coming with people who have never heard it. Praying for you, and missing you too!
Thanks for putting that together and sharing this journey with us. Praying. I caught up on nearly 2 months of the blog on my phone riding to Atlanta yesterday, but had to get home to pull this video up. Glad I did.
Wow! I couldn’t keep from crying…for some reason the other still pictures got logged into my head as a “vacation paradise” file and this video yanked them and put them into the “living it out for the Lord” file…seeing you and Elizabeth walking together on a trail but not at Jones Gap or some other hiking trail here… made me realize all that you have given up for our Lord. My prayers will increase for y’all.

Thanks for taking the time to put that together. PNG is beautiful. Your family is too. Will be praying for your trip into the bush.
I’ll take swords for 500 Trebek!

Thank you so much for sharing a video of your days…mom o’s comment brought tears. Praying for your time in the bush.

Love love love! Can’t wait to show the kids! And thanks y’all (and Enya) for making me cry! Praising God for your family.
