The picture above is of our strainer catching bugs from the flour. I mentioned this a few days ago on Facebook, but here I would like to provide a comprehensive list of the things we have consumed after removing the bugs.

  • Flour
  • Sugar
  • Peanut Butter*
  • Honey
  • Raisins
  • Corn Meal
  • Water**
  • Breakfast, lunch and dinner***
  • Just about every variety of fruit and vegetable that we can buy here.
*Peanut Butter was definitely the most challenging thing to get bugs (ants) out of because once the peanut butter folded over on an ant, it was nearly impossible to find again.
**Weird, huh? There is at least one kind of ant here that is drawn to water and they aren’t afraid to dive right in.
***Often the ants and/or flies beat me to the table at meal time
