A Washer and Dryer

I don’t really mind the chore of laundry all that much here, but it takes up a good bit of time, so I am thrilled that I will have a washer and dryer in our house while we are in America! I’m going to appreciate not having to switch the load from wash to spin to rinse to spin and the freedom of being able to do laundry at any time of day, rather than having to do it first thing so the hung laundry has time to dry! Belle may miss her shady spot though.

Fountain Drinks

I love soft drinks. We can get them in cans or plastic bottles (for which I am very grateful!) but I sure do miss the unlimited fizzy goodness of a fountain drink!

Caffeine Free Coke

On that note, I also very much miss my standard pregnancy drink, caffeine free coke. Only regular cokes here, so I have had to drink way less coke than usual during this pregnancy. I’m looking forward to stocking our fridge with caffeine free coke!

Cereal and Milk

I am not a milk drinker, so I honestly thought the lack of good milk wouldn’t bother me, but I have found myself missing cereal and milk. This is not something I particularly loved at home, but now that I can’t ever have it, I am very much looking forward to it!

Driving

Well, not actually driving as much as the freedom to hop in the car and go somewhere–to take my kids to the grocery store even! I hope I remember how to drive after nearly a year though!

Cheddar Cheese

Similar to the milk issue, I never realized I would miss cheddar cheese, but with no substitute quite like it, I do miss it! In case you are worried, we do have cheese here, but all of it is white, and none of it is quite like good ol’ cheddar.

Eating Out

We have a handful of restaurants here, but it is a much bigger deal to go out. I sure do miss the ease of going out when I’ve had a hard day and cant seem to get my act together to make dinner. I am so excited about eating out…I might just not cook at all while we are home.  🙂

Peaches

I am REALLY hoping there will still be some fresh peaches available when we get home. I’m drooling over pics of local peaches on Facebook already.

A Full Length Mirror

I’ve been seeing only my head in our tiny bathroom mirror all year. It will be nice to see all of me for a change. I wonder how big my belly is.

Hobby Lobby

Although ordering craft supplies via our moms and friends and waiting months for them to arrive has been working, I am pretty excited to be able to go grab them so easily from Hobby Lobby. I think I just want to go roam the aisles and soak it all in.

Just have Joseph take a picture of you from the front, side and rear and presto not only a full-length mirror, but a three-way mirror.

So, I don’t know if you know what you are having but when I was pregnant with the boys I craved cereal all the time. Maybe, Maybe!!!
