Today was a perfect day.  The temperature was perfect for playing outside, the sky was perfectly blue, the leaves were fabulous colors and we had a fun-filled family day at home.  It was so nice.  It was the kind of fall day I missed last year while we were in the land of perpetual summer (which has its perks too…in a few weeks when it gets a bit too chilly for my taste I will be seriously missing that perpetual summer!) We have been eating up all of fall that we can while we are home, and today we did that by just enjoying being outside!

Our kids have never learned to ride bikes, so we have been attempting to teach them while we have a nice street to ride in.  This morning we had a great time riding bikes in the street!

Everett was a big help pushing!

When he wasn’t pushing, or getting a turn on the tricycle, Everett enjoyed playing in the leaves.

Sylvie was here too…but she spent most of the time napping in the house.

After some lunch and nap/rest time, we spent the afternoon in the backyard doing a scavenger hunt.  It was SO much fun!  The girls just loved hunting for things and marking them off of their lists.  And Everett loved picking up anything he could find and shoving it in his bag!

I’m hoping this nice weather sticks around for a while!  We’ll enjoy it while it does!

It was a beautiful SC day! Belle got her hair cut! Love that she had on 2 different shoes and Lucy had on 2 different socks 🙂

I was wondering if anyone would notice the mismatched shoes and socks! that’s what happens when i just tell them to go get their shoes on, I guess! And yes, Belle got her hair cut…I think I cut off at least 3 inches!

I was just getting ready to ask about the story behind the shoes! Glad y’all are feeling better!

I noticed the shoes, but not the socks 🙂

I’m having trouble deciding which is more beautiful, the day or the children!
