After spending last night here in Menya, today we worked on installing the Walkers’ solar-electric system. We made a lot of progress, but we still have more for tomorrow.

This afternoon we took a walk around with Wes to get more familiar with the area. Here are a few shots from today. This is our next home–where I’m staying right now:

Apologies in advance for a dumb question, but while you’re learning the Menya tribal language, will you be able to have basic communication in Pidgin?

Yes. There a lots of people here who speak some or much Pidgin. That is where we will start, but hopefully not for too long.

What do you think?
