On Wednesday, to celebrate the completion of our teaching pavilion, we invited our community for a mumu (PNG-style cookout) and picture show. Late in the afternoon, the food was buried with hot rocks to cook and then distributed for consumption.

When the eating was done, Wes and I shared for a few minutes about the purpose of the pavilion and our eagerness for the Menyan people to learn  literacy and then God’s word.

We showed a time-lapse video of our construction (similar to what’s on our site here, but longer and slower) and then a slideshow of pictures we’ve taken around Menya to delight of all.
