Museum

We went to the museum here yesterday.  It was full of interesting things about the history of the people in PNG.  Honestly there was way more than I could really appreciate in one trip…especially when that trip included all 3 kiddos.  So maybe another trip will be in our future.  I actually have more pics…

Conference

We survived conference…just barely!  We were all sick for much of the time (as our Facebook fans know,) with the stomach bug really getting the best of us!  I actually had a cold and the stomach bug, so I guess I win for being the sickest.  Or maybe Lucy does because she threw up the…

Soheko

Our mission base is surrounded by homes of local people.  Now that we are officially learning Pidgin (the language they speak here) we are walking around and talking to people on a regular basis.  Yesterday one of the ladies who lives nearby, Soheko, came over to our house with 2 of her kids to chat…

Hardest Thing

The hardest thing about moving (so far) has been our kids not being on their normal sleep schedule.  That has made for tired, grumpy, whiny, kids!  Naps went well today and the kids actually stayed up past 6 pm tonight, so we are praying for a full night’s sleep!  Maybe our second week here will…

Grocery Shopping (Part 2)

After visiting the 2 stores the other day, we went to the local market.  It was so great!  Fruits and veggies here are way cheaper than the things at the grocery store.  It seems so backwards, since in the US fruits and veggies are more expensive.  So I guess we will be eating more fruits…
