Everett lost his first tooth in time for Christmas
Having taken care of Penny’s kidney stone, the Chappells have decided to return home to America a little earlier than planned (now instead of Feb) for the birth of their next baby. Wes will come back alone to PNG in Jan for a few months of work before the April delivery. Then they will all return next year July/August with a new addition. (That’s the plan, anyway)

We are spending this week in Menya with the older two Chappell boys–the rest of their family was whisked to Australia on a Med-Evac to deal with Penny’s kidney stone.
Our house had started to sag so Travis brought in a jack, a welder and his skills to help reinforce it. Thanks to him and to Mitchell Poe for the lights that allowed us to finish the job after dark.
I snuck around our house with my slingshot to scare the dog that’s been stealing our eggs and hens. After shooting and scaring the dog away, I saw our neighbor, Hoku, sneaking up the other side with his bow and arrow. If I had been a few seconds slower our problem would have been solved.
