Many of you will remember Ken’s daughter dying a few months ago. Now her grave has become somewhat of a shrine including our pictures we printed for them.
The people of Menya have learned that Elizabeth has a sewing machine and knows how to use it. So now we have a steady stream of folks bringing by their worn out clothing to be patched and altered. Some of the more generous compensate her with green onions, potatoes, or leafy greens.
I found out that here in Menya lightning doesn’t kill people or trees or mountains, thunder does. The flash of lightning is the warning.

This is not the kind of weather we like to see on flight days. Thankfully, after a week of this, we woke up yesterday (flight-day) to a blue sky. We got our supplies and our belated Christmas packages.
