After years of Edwin coming to us with an ax to grind, it’s exciting to see God changing his heart and attitudes. But today he literally came with an ax to grind.

Yesterday I took a stroll down to where one of our local religious groups was gathering. This particular group has, thus far, rejected what we have been teaching. I’ve been eagerly looking for an opportunity to talk with this group…
As we were leaving Menya, several of our closest friends walked with us to say bye at the airstrip. There were tears, hugs, and kisses plane-side as they watched us board knowing we’d be gone for a month. They kept telling us how Joseph has been giving them God’s word and how a month without that was going to be so hard.
That’s the ocean coast down there.
We are headed out to an Island for a week. Our first time flying in the Kodiak over the ocean which means we get to wear life jackets under our seatbelts.
Happy 4th! We flew out of Menya today and ate by the pool at a local hotel. Hamburgers a la modé (with a fried egg).
This past Sunday at our church meeting, Joseph taught about what the Bible has to say about being a godly woman. After he finished, we broke into two groups (men and women) to discuss the points. What a great discussion time!
